Did the album turn out exactly the way you wanted it to?

- I had a vision about this album as we entered the studio and the that vision was fulfilled, only with more satisfaction to it in the end. I had never worked with new vocalisst Jo before in the studio, and didn’t know what kinda stuff she had done for us vocal-wise as far as the songs went. So I knew that would be interesting, seeing the female-vocals are a big part of what we do. She did a excellent job to say the least and we are more than happy that she’s on board. I think the album turned out brilliant, and I must say in the end it turned out better and more worked on than what was first planned. We did alot of stuff in the studio that we hadn’t planned originally, which made the album even more interesting in the end. So to nail the answer down, it turned out a bit different than what I expected, but it was a better kind of ”different”. Listening to the demo-songs I did for the recording and comparing it to the final result really shows how much the songs were worked on in the studio. It’s a masterpiece. Resistance is fucken futile!

Has it been a tough job, to get the lyrics and music right? For how long have you been working on this album?

- When we finally started working on the songs for the album, it all went pretty fast. I think the material was completed in a couple of months. Funny thing is that we didn’t write anything for this piece in over a year or something, I really don’t know why, but we never got to it. Then me and guitarist Mazza thought it was about time to create a new album and we started throwing riffs around and it all went smoothly from there. Mazza would come over to my place and we’d sit there for some hours just playing and recording some guitar-riffs, then he’d go home and I’d sit up the following night putting shit together, adding keyboards, doing the drums,  thinking up all kinds of weird shit, just to show Mazza a completed 9-minute song when he woke up hahaha... That’s how we work. So when we finally got to writing for the album it was very easy. Mazza is great to work with and he knows my playingstyle better than myself it seems. I’m extatic to have him in the band as he’s a great guitarist and a even greater friend. As far as the lyrics go, I decided not to participate too much in them this time, I just wanted to concentrate on the music itself. J and Jo wrote their own parts and I just added/deleted/changed some stuff in the studio. They did excellent both of them. I think we might have worked on the songs for approximately 3 months or something, maybe even less.
