NEUROTIC MOVEMENT AT OZZFEST!: (Press Release) New York,
NY--Florida rockers, Neurotica, have jumped to the main stage on the August
3rd Ozzfest date at the Polaris Amphitheatre in Columbus, OH. The band will kick things off at 5pm.

Audience reaction to Neurotica's blistering set has been so intense that a few
weeks ago tour organizers bumped up the band's performance to a later, more
desirable timeslot on the second stage. After Ozzy Osbourne announced last
week that he'd be leaving the tour for three weeks in order to be with wife Sharon while she undergoes chemotherapy treatments, tour organizers made some adjustments to the lineup.

"We feel proud to be the first band to step up and help Ozzy and his family get
through these hard times. We're looking forward to the opportunity to play the
main stage. It's a dream," says Neurotica frontman, Kelly Shaefer.

In other news, Neurotica has announced that their blazing live version of the
Beatle's classic, "I Am The Walrus," will be featured on the heavily-anticipated,
Ozzfest 2002 CD, due out in August. ROLLING STONE raved, "Want heavy
metal for breakfast? These guys are first on the Ozzfest schedule. Reason to
set your alarm clock: an excellent cover of 'I Am The Walrus.'"

The Ozzfest 2002 compilation features Ozzy Osbourne, System of a Down, Rob
Zombie, Black Label Society, Drowning Pool, Adema, Down, Hatebreed,
Messuggah, Lost Prophets, Flaw, Ill Nino, Soil and PulseUltra.

01 DON'T MESS WITH THE PESCH!: (Press Release) For over 15 years, the
name Doro Pesch has been synonymous with powerful, melodic hard rock.
From her earlier days as frontwoman for the Teutonic Metal legends WARLOCK to her emotive & oft-times experimental solo endeavors, DORO has always presented uncompromising heavy music. On September 24th, the vibrant German native unleashes 'Fight', her most belligerent effort yet, through SPV.

Typical of DORO approach, 'Fight' is a veritable rollercoaster ride of emotions, a diverse and enthusiastic mosaic of mood and power that befits her
expressive nature. The album spotlights DORO's undying love of the freedom
to being open to outside influences, which offers 'Fight' frequent surprises.
Says DORO on the album's creation: "Compared to previous recordings, Fight
sounds even rawer, earthy, totally rooted to the soil nothing was polished
smooth, there are no loops, hardly any effects, but a lot of pure energy and
passion."

DORO's band (which includes guitarists Joe Taylor & Oliver Palotai, bassist
Nick Douglas, and drummer Johnny Dee) recorded 'Fight' in a near-live setting
at Soundmine Recording Studios in Pennsylvania, thus adding to the power and raw energy of the result. So powerful, in fact, that the title cut doubles as an anthem for boxing World Champion Regina Halmich and will be featured not only on national television in Germany, but syndicated internationally
through ESPN and other sports networks.

Adding a somber touch to the disc are special guest appearances by Type O
Negative doomsayer Peter Steele and Savatage guitarist Chris Caffery on the
track "Descent." Elsewhere on the album can be found moving tracks co-composed by the likes of Gene Simmons of KISS ("Legends Never Die"), Russ Ballard ("Wild Heart") and Jean Beauvoir ("Sister Darkness"). 'Fight' is
enveloped by fantastic cover artwork by Gillespie, responsible for WARLOCK's
legendary 'Triumph & Agony' and DORO's 'Angels Never Die'.

DORO's recorded fervor is only matched by her spellbinding live show. Having
already performed at this year's Bang Your Head and Polo Festivals in Germany and Graspop in Belgium, DORO is confirmed to headline the first night of the renowned Wacken Open-Air Festival and embark on a European tour before embracing the North American tour market this winter.

'Fight' is a testimony of unbridled passion and relentless spirit in one of the most dynamic voices in hard rock.

01 Sharon Osbourne seems to be doing well following her first session of
chemotherapy Monday, with husband Ozzy by her side.

She's in "very good spirits — she's very upbeat," the Osbournes'
spokesperson told USA Today.

Sharon's three-month chemo prescription is treating the cancer that
was initially thought to be confined to her colon, but following an
operation, was found to have spread (see "Sharon Osbourne Says Cancer
Has Spread"). She was first diagnosed with the disease earlier this
month (see "Sharon Osbourne To Undergo Cancer Surgery, Two Ozzfest
Shows Postponed").

After postponing the first two dates of Ozzfest when the diagnosis
became public, Ozzy persevered on the annual trek without his wife
and manager, who masterminds the annual hard rock tour. He withdrew
from the trek two-and-a-half weeks later, after Sunday's show in
Atlanta (see "Ozzy Osbourne Taking Leave From Ozzfest To Be With
Sharon") to accompany his wife during what can sometimes be a taxing
treatment. He's expected to return to the road August 22 in Denver.
Main-stage act System of a Down have assumed Ozzy's headlining set
time in his absence.

In other Osbourne family news, the first season of "The Osbournes" is
being released on DVD this fall, according to a Buena Vista Home
Video spokesperson. For those interested in hearing the foul-mouthed
family speak in vocabulary too vulgar for TV, censored and uncensored
versions will be available. The DVD's release will coincide with the
second season of the reality series, which is expected to document
Sharon's cancer ordeal. Buena Vista Home Video is also contracted to
issue the second season on DVD.

"The Osbournes" DVD won't be the only way fans can take the charming
clan home. Next month store shelves will be stocked with Osbourne
family tchotchkes (see "Soon You Can Throw Darts At The Osbournes,
Make Them Quack"), including key chains, bendables, snowglobes
and "The Osbournes Phone Pal," a telephone peripheral that
commands, "Pick up the phone!" with each ring.

Musically, if Ozzy's latest release, Live at Budokan, is a little too
recent for some old-school Oz-heads, Ozzy, when more than a quarter-
century younger, can be heard backed by Black Sabbath on Past Lives,
the band's first live album released domestically with the original
lineup, which also includes bassist Geezer Butler, guitarist Tony
Iommi and drummer Bill Ward. (Sabbath's Stateside live debut came
courtesy of 1982's Live Evil, on which the band was fronted by Ozzy's
replacement Ronnie James Dio.)

The first of two discs comprising Past Lives was initially issued in
the U.K. as Live at Last in 1980, but the sound quality — not to
mention uninspired artwork and liner notes that misspelled Osbourne's
first name as "Ossie" — was rejected by the band and, subsequently,
many of its fans.

Remastered and with new cover art and liner notes, Past Lives, set
for release August 20, features such Sabbath favorites as "Sweet
Leaf," "War Pigs" and "Paranoid," along with gems like a 19-minute,
improvised version of "Wicked World."

Track list for Past Lives, according to the album's publicist:
Disc 1
"Tomorrow's Dream"
"Sweet Leaf"
"Killing Yourself to Live"
"Cornucopia"
"Snowblind"
"Children of the Grave"
"War Pigs"
"Wicked World"
"Paranoid"

"Hand of Doom"
"Hole in the Sky"
"Symptom of the Universe"
"Megalomania"
"Iron Man"
"Black Sabbath"

They sing their asses off. There aren't many bands around that can really sing. Jim Wilson has a voice to die for. It's shocking what comes out. It's a vocal world. Not everybody can identify with a great guitar solo or a hip drum beat, but everybody can identify with good singing. The singing and the songwriting - certainly they're superior musicians compared to what's out there in the world right now. They way outclass 99% of the cats that are out there." Kramer also talks about the MC5 influence, their "radical" political stances and his new record! Read the whole thign here: http://www.electricbasement.com/interview_waynekramer_august2002.htm

LEE DENIES MOTLEY REUNION
Tommy Lee has once again denied that he’s about to rejoin Motley Crue. Despite hints from bassist Nikki Sixx that the

OZZY SAVES MINER
Roger Shaffer claims he owes his life to Ozzy Osbourne – because he went to see the Ozzfest on July 24 rather than go to work.
Shaffer should have been working down the Quecreek Mine in Pennsylviania, but if he had been, then he’d have been
trapped with his colleagues in a flooded mine. By a twist of fate, Shaffer and his wife Lucy had tickets for the July 7 Ozzfest date at
the Post-Gazette Pavilion in Burgettstown, near Pittsburgh (his day off), but this was postponed when Sharon Osbourne was
diagnosed as having cancer. When the show was re-arranged, Shaffer should have been at work,
but was persuaded by his wife to take the day off. That decision might have saved his life.

08 NUCLEAR ASSAULT REUNION, LIVE ALBUM: (Press Release)

Original Lineup of Thrash Metal Innovators Prepare Live Album
For Screaming Ferret Wreckords!!

With America's societal transgressions reaching a boiling point, it has become necessary for the injustices to possess a voice. While many have attempted, none have been able to address the issues with the intoxicating volatility of New York's NUCLEAR ASSAULT. Therefore, the thrash metal pioneer's original lineup has deemed it necessary to reunite and express America's feelings in its own inimitable manner - furiously!

Vocalist/guitarist John Connelly, bassist Danny Lilker, guitarist Anthony Bramante, and drummer Glenn Evans have returned and are making their presence known throughout the year on aptly monikered 'War Against Terrorism' performance dates. Fusing dexterous yet uncompromising metal with gripping, inspired lyrical content, NUCLEAR ASSAULT is on a mission!

To celebrate the reunion of one of metal's most compelling heroes, Screaming Ferret Wreckords has recorded the band's May 11th, 2002 performance in Attleboro, MA for a Fall CD release!

08 JAG PANZER ROLLS ON: (Press Release) A news update from JAG PANZER drummer Rikard Stjernquist, who recently returned home from a performance at Milwaukee MetalFest:

"We got back from Germany's Bang Your Head Festival a few weeks ago and I am happy to report we played (in my opinion) one of our best sets. BYH was a great experience and would have only been better if we had actually gone on to play the Rock Wave Festival in Greece. We are cursed when it comes to Greece. This is the 3rd show that has been cancelled due to reasons that had nothing to do with us. Apparently we are destined to never play
Greece. As a fan stated on our website's guest book said, 'The Gods do not love Greece.' Apparently the Gods do not want us to play the land of the Gods.

We start recording the new /old cd now [the entire Tyrants EP, 50% of Ample Destruction and tracks off their demo, Dissident Alliance, the Chain Of Command bootleg] that we're back from MMF. We have been doing a lot of pre-production work and are very excited about revisiting this old material and giving it a polish that will blind. The working title for the double cd is a reference from the song "License to Kill," Decade Of The Nail Spiked Bat. We hope to complete recording and mix down by the end of September."

08 DREAMING EVIL IN JAPAN!: (Press Release) Guitarist Gus G. from DREAM EVIL reports:"It seems like we're getting an overwhelming success in Japan, as our DragonSlayer album was in Burrn! Magazine's Import Charts at Number 1!!! The album was released over there July 3rd and we've already been invited to perform in Japan!!! It looks like we'll be playing 2 dates there in Tokyo and Osaka. Of course we're very excited!!!!! I recently did an interview with Japan's number one guitar magazine, Young Guitar as well. It seems like they're also appreciating mine and Fredrik's guitar styles there and that's very cool!! I can tell you that I've practiced very very hard!!!

Other than that, we're rehearsing like motherfuckers for the Wacken festival and the Blind Guardian dates. We're also working on a few surprises for the autumn, but it's way too early to say anything further, so please stay tuned......and of course, stay METAL!!!!!!"

DREAM EVIL's first album, DragonSlayer, features an all-star cast that includes the acclaimed producer of Dimmu Borgir, The Haunted, and In Flames Fredrik Nordström on guitar and keyboards, legendary drummer Snowy Shaw (ex-King Diamond, Mercyful Fate), backing vocalist for HammerFall Niklas Istfeldt, Gus G. Confidence in our material. Excitement in watching this grow and being a part of the whole experience. 2) Money. You get what you play for and nothing's free. Can you cover the cost of this venture and its financial potential that I am just supposed to walk away from and for what? To where? I do not believe in any true effort or potential regarding most of my past relationship from the other party or parties, creatively or emotionally."Axl also accuses Slash of lying contantly. QUOTE OF THE DAY –

Dave Williams was one of a kind, and a friend to everyone he met. He was a good man and a giving person. Not a day went by when he wasn't giving somebody a little present and touching everyone around him with his passion. He was full of energy until the day he passed and undeniably full of life. To the end, we were having a great time. We will miss him.” – the remaining members of Drowning Pool pay tribute to their late singer, who died last week.

20 KISS ALIVE FOREVER: (Press Release) More than two months before its official release, KISS Alive Forever: The Complete Touring History is already being hailed as "The Holy Grail of KISS books" and was recently one of only two books included in the New York Post's "Things that are IN this fall" write-up. This uncompromising look at the touring history of the most influential live concert act in rockexplores the entire arc of KISS's career, detailing every one of the band's 1,810 performances.

Seven years in the making, KISS Alive Forever is the end result of exhaustive research by its authors Curt Gooch and Jeff Suhs, who reveal hundreds of previously unknown stories and facts about KISS herein. Exclusive interviews with over 100 former KISS employees, friends, and even band members make KISS Alive Forever a thoroughly addictive, immersive experience. The already rich text is brought to life by the inclusion of over 175 color photographs, most of which have never been published before. For the first time, readers will be able to see the infamous 1974 photo shoot where Ace could apply only half of his KISS makeup, as well as several 1970s-era non-makeup shots.

KISS Alive Forever succeeds in deconstructing the myths behind KISS's world-renowned concerts and lays bare the underlying story: the compelling tale of four young New York musicians who grew up to conquer the world of rock and left an indelible stamp on American pop culture.

Curt Gooch and Jeff Suhs, previously worked together on the officially licensed KISS Trivia Challenge CD-ROM game. The authors will be promoting KISS Alive Forever through personal appearances at KISS Expos and on their official Web site, www.kissaliveforever.com where seven excerpts from the book provide a glimpse of this unique masterpiece.

20 IAN AIN'T NO ROCK STAR!: JETHRO TULL frontman IAN ANDERSON, known for being one of few flutists to front a heavy rock outfit, talks with ElectricBasement.com about his dilemna with being called a 'rock star', "I understand what they are getting at but it is always difficult for me to associate with the archetype of the pop star. I never really felt a part of mainstream pop and rock music because I never did really listen to that stuff too much. When I was a teenager I was not listening to pop music. I was listening to Muddy Waters and Howling Wolf. I was listening to people from the world of blues or jazz.

Rock music is the world in which I have found myself but I am not really a fan of most rock music. The great American rock bands like Foreigner, who were very polished and professional, wrote great polished rock songs…. Lou Gramm is a fabulous singer. I have one of their albums, which is how I know their names. That does not really make me a full time fan, they’re just one
of the bands that I know something about. For the most part I am just not a fan of rock music. There are lots of great bands who mean almost nothing to me. I may have heard their names but probably can’t place any of their music. Probably the only American artists I know anything about are Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart. Their music is much more satisfying and
interesting for me. I know much more about their music and have listened to a lot more of their music. I am not too up on most of the American rock bands." Read the whole interview here: http://www.electricbasement.com/interview_jethrotull_august2002.htm

22 JACKYL OFF IN OCTOBER! (Press Release) Message from the band: "[The long awaited new studio album form JACKYL album] has been mixed, mastered and heading to press. “RELENTLESS” will be hitting stores October 22, 2002. The first single is “Kill The Sunshine” which was written in another collaboration with AC/DC’s Brian Johnson. The single is set to hit radio in the beginning of September. Let your local radio stations and music stores know that you’re anxiously awaiting “RELENTLESS” to drop! Click to check out the new sound clips: http://www.jackyl.w1.com/soundclips.htm

The last several months have been very hectic, chaotic and busy as hell. We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and support throughout the process of us pulling everything together. Not only have we recorded and arranged the release of an album, but we have also been consistently touring. That is what we are and what we do. When we finished the 100 shows in 50 days and set the Guinness World Record, we were all physically drained. This was in the beginning of 1999. The entire event put us in the red in excess of $60,000 because most of the shows were totally free. Then we found out that Geffen Records was consolidated along with 20 other labels and all reduced to no more than imprints under the Interscope umbrella. All of this is the industry bullshit that you never hear about. Most of you… our extended family and friends are aware of all the changes that took place at this time. It was essential that Jeff, Chris and Jesse RE-BOOT (as in when your computer locks up).

Jeff and Chris grew up with Captain Virgil Hamilton (Super V). Some may even remember the white boy boogie, which was the dance that Jesse and Virgil would do during Brain Drain. Jeff, Chris and Virgil have always been creative and before they built Worley Brothers Studios, recorded with Virgil in Jesse’s studio. It is no secret that Jesse is hands on with Jackyl’s business. He has also helped in the solicitation of the Super V project with both labels and live performances. It is still intended that the Super V material will be released when the time is right. Virgil has and always will be a source of inspiration and energy to Jackyl. Virgil is a star!

Jesse had invested several years on the road with guitarist John Hayes. Jesse was introduced to the guys in Jackyl because they used to come out and smoke pot with John in the dressing room of a club in Greenville, SC. Jesse was approached to put out a solo record and took the opportunity to work with his longtime friend. The album contained material that reflected Jesse’s influences and would not have necessarily worked for a Jackyl album. Undoubtedly, the best thing to come out of Jesse’s solo album was Roman Glick (everything happens for a reason). John is back in Holland performing with the John Hayes Project and the next time Jackyl plays in Amsterdam, you can bet that Jeff, Roman and John will be hanging out at the Bulldog.

We’re all family.

Jackyl (Jesse, Jeff, Chris and Roman) entered the studio fresh and full of piss and vinegar at the beginning of 2001. Recorded approximately a dozen tunes and then went out on the road to stretch its legs and perform a handful of shows. They came home, went back into the studio and recorded another dozen songs. Toward the end of 2001, beginning of 2002 they went out and soaked up the energy from the road once more before returning to the studio for a third time to record yet another batch of songs. Then came the process of selecting the songs that
are now the album RELENTLESS.

We are close to finishing up The Rock Never Stops tour. We will not be performing on the Greenville, SC date as we will be playing the hemp festival (Jackylstock) in Maine. This has been on the books for over a year. We will however not miss the opportunity to have a Halloween celebration for the release of RELENTLESS. This year also marks the 10 year anniversary of our debut album, so we will have to make our Greenville homecoming extra special.

Once again, we appreciate everyone’s input, output and support and to all you nay-sayers we dedicate the last track on the album to you… When You Hate It (It Makes Me Love It More)

The more you hate it, it makes me want it more The things you think are crap are things that I adore You have opinions but you haven’t got a clue As for those opinions WHOOP-T-FUCKING-DOO!

The more you hate it, it makes me want it more I’m all the things you struggled to ignore
When it comes to life well I’m a whore The more you hate it, it makes me want it more

Be loud, proud, hard and honest. NEVER LET UP… BE RELENTLESS

ROCK ME, ROLL ME, JACKYL ME OFF!!!"

23 DICKINSON'S 'MILLIONAIRE' REINVESTED: (Press Release) BRUCE DICKINSON's 'Tattooed Millionaire' Scheduled For Reissue By Columbia/Legacy On September 10th!

This 1990 Solo Debut By Legendary IRON MAIDEN Vocalist Includes Five Bonus Tracks

In 1990, vocalist BRUCE DICKINSON had nothing left to prove. He'd spent eight years fronting the legendary British heavy metal quintet IRON MAIDEN; a band that set a standard of quality for the genre that has never been equaled or surpassed.

But DICKINSON was restless. He's a tireless man who likes to keep busy both creatively and physically. DICKINSON decided to branch out, and he released his debut solo album, 'Tattooed Millionaire', on Columbia Records in 1990. Now, it is being reissued in a remastered, expanded edition by Columbia Records/Legacy Recordings on September 10, 2002. The five bonus tracks -- four studio and one live -- follow the original running order of "Son Of A Gun," "Tattooed Millionaire," "Born In '58," "Hell On Wheels," "Gypsy Road," "Dive! Dive! Dive!," the Mott The Hoople cover "All The Young Dudes," "Lickin' The Gun," "Zulu Lulu" and "No Lies."

Three of the five bonus tracks are covers. The bonus tracks are:

* Arthur Brown's "Spirit of Joy" -- U.K. B-side of the "Tears of the Dragon" single (from DICKINSON's 1994 album 'Balls to Picasso')
* DICKINSON original "Darkness Be My Friend" -- U.K. B-side of the "All the
Young Dudes" single
* AC/DC's "Sin City" -- U.K. B-side of the "All the Young Dudes" single
* DICKINSON original "Winds of Change" - U.K. B-side of the "Tattooed
Millionaire" single
* Samson's "Riding With the Angels" recorded live at the London Astoria in
1990 -- U.K. B-side of the "Dive! Dive! Dive!" single

Brown -- known as The Crazy World of Arthur Brown on his signature hit "Fire" -- is a favorite of DICKINSON. Samson, of course, was DICKINSON's pre-IRON MAIDEN band. "Riding With the Angels" was actually written and first recorded by former Argent guitarist Russ Ballard, who had more success as a songwriter and producer than as a solo artist.

'Tattooed Millionaire' marked a transitional phase in DICKINSON's career. Fans who expected an IRON MAIDEN-style heavy metal album were in for a surprise. Instead, the album was more of a straightforward hard-rock record that reflected DICKINSON's roots and influences.

DICKINSON recruited three little known musicians for his solo band. Guitarist Janick Gers had played with Ian Gillan (which certainly pleased Deep Purple fanatic DICKINSON), and he went on to replace Adrian Smith in IRON MAIDEN. Bass guitarist Andy Carr was a member of 3 Rivers. Drummer Fabio Del Rio was a member of Jagged Edge.

The entire album is hard rock, but the songs reflected DICKINSON's variety of moods. "Son Of A Gun" and "No Lies" are dramatic, "Born in '58" is openly autobiographical, "Dive! Dive! Dive!" and "Zulu Lulu" illustrate his wickedly playful sense of humor through clever double entendres and the faithful take on "All The Young Dudes" is a reverential salute to the rock 'n' roll of his
youth. The title cut "Tattooed Millionaire" was fluidly catchy -- especially the chorus -- and it became a hit.

DICKINSON decided to take 'Tattooed Millionaire' on the road. Replacing Del Rio on drums for the concert trek was Dickie Fliszar. To broaden his set, in addition to incorporating some of the bonus tracks included on this reissue, he also inserted "Bring Your Daughter ... To The Slaughter" -- the theme of A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child -- which IRON MAIDEN then re-recorded for 'No Prayer For The Dying'. The reward was a # 1 single in
England!

It turned out that DICKINSON felt he was growing increasingly limited musically in IRON MAIDEN, and he left the band in 1993. He released a string of solo albums and toured the world until he and Smith re-joined the band in 1999.

DICKINSON headlined the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany on August 2, 2002; the largest heavy metal festival in the world. For more information on BRUCE DICKINSON, visit his official web site: www.screamforme.com

DARK FUNERAL- “Changing of the Guard”

Black Metal legends DARK FUNERAL have confirmed the departure of guitarist Dominion from the band.  Magus Caligula had this to say:

"It's a sad day for DARK FUNERAL. Dominion, our brother and long-time friend has decided to leave the band," revealed bassist/vocalist Emperor Magus Caligula. "The reason for his departure is that he felt it was time to move on, and try something different. The purpose of this statement is to let our fans know the truth from us first. This way people who 'like' to talk about cannot start false rumors."

"The truth is: it was his decision, he didn't commit suicide, nor is he in jail for murder or church burnings. But most importantly he wasn't kicked out from DARK FUNERAL," continued Caligula. "Dominion has been a great friend (and still is) to all of us. It will not be easy to replace him. DARK FUNERAL will continue to work on new material as we work through the difficult choice of replacing our comrade."

"I and DARK FUNERAL wish him the best of luck in the future, and hope that we will hear Dominion's great talent somewhere else. He will be missed by us all, but we will be back, stronger than ever. We came, we saw, we lived forever. Thus I have spoken, Hail Satan."

27 AC/DC FAN BOOK: (Press Release) 26.8.2002, Helsinki, Finland - There has been lots of books written about AC/DC but now Finnish Jyrki Hämäläinen has started a completely new project. What is special about this book is that it is written from a fan’s perspective and it includes plenty of material that has never been released before. This material has been sent in voluntarily by fans who want to share their experiences and pictures about the band.

Jyrki Hämäläinen explains the reason why he started the book project: “I have read many books written on AC/DC and all of them are written from some rock journalists point of view. I wanted to bring fan’s own experiences of AC/DC into the daylight.”

“AC/DC may be a rock and roll dinosaur in some point of view, but it still is as electrifying as it was back in the 70’s.”, Jyrki Hämäläinen says and continues, “AC/DC is more than a rock and roll band, it’s a phenomenon.“

The book is written online where everybody can take part into writing the book and send in their own ideas and suggestions for the book. You can also see how the book is getting on in the website www.acdcbook.tk. People who will contribute to the book will be credited and will get the book for a discounted price or even completely free. More details will be on the website. The book will be published in the spring 2003 but you can already reserve your copy on the site.

All information and material can be sent to:

28 LEGENDARY VOCALIST/BASSIST JACK BRUCE ON DVD: (Press Release) Vocalist/bass guitarist JACK BRUCE secured a place in rock 'n' roll history (and, thus, in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame) in the 1960s with the short-lived but groundbreaking power trio CREAM with vocalist/guitarist Eric Clapton and drummer Ginger Baker.

But Bruce's importance and long-lasting influence does not rest solely on his significant accomplishments with Cream. After Cream, he embarked on a solo career in which he further explored the boundaries of rock, jazz and blues.

He often performed with other legends, and Classic Pictures' new DVD 'Jack Bruce and Friends - Live' -- the title's first-ever release on home video -- preserves just such a concert recorded on October 18, 1980, at the Rockaplast in Essen, Germany. 'Jack Bruce and Friends - Live' is being released in North America and the DVD is mastered in Dolby Digital 5.1 sound and features a fully animated menu. DVD extras include a Bruce profile, discography and
photo gallery.

Joining Bruce on the 60-minute 'Jack Bruce and Friends - Live' are guitarist Clem Clempson (formerly of blues-rock band Humble Pie), keyboardist David Sancious (formerly of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band) and jazz-rock drummer Billy Cobham (who performed with jazz legends like trumpeter Miles Davis and guitarist John McLaughlin).

The songs on 'Jack Bruce and Friends - Live' include Cream favorites and more: "White Room," "Hit and Run," "Running Back," "Theme for an Imaginary Western," "X Marks the Spot," "Out to Lunch," "Living Without You," "Politician," "Sunshine of Your Love" and "N.S.U."
