Node is incredibly fast played death metal, with tons of raw fierce energy, and a vocal as traditional as in any other band in the same genre. Node has been around for quite some time now – actually since ´94 when ex-guitarist in Death SS and session guitarist on the very first Lacuna Coil Europe Tour Steve Minelli formed Node together with current Node guitarist Gary D’Eramo. Steve Minelli left Node in ´´99 but luckily the band kept playing, despite the loss of one of their founding members. The fact that Node has been around for so long, doesn’t mean that they’ve lost their touch. They have not! The music is as brutal and fast as ever – no room for slow tunes tapped for all energy. The album “Sweatshops” is high octane flammable death metal from first breath. You gotta strap your self really good, if you want to keep up with these guys. They only operate in the fast lane, and their only intension is to put the pedal to the metal – sort of speak! |

All 9 songs on the album: : ”Hystory Seeds”, ”Jerry Mander”, ”Sachristian Scorn Toward Water”, ”Bloody Hills”, ”Beheaviours”, ”Last Doctor”, ”No Title, no Bible”, “Thanathophobia”, and “The Plot Thickens” has the immeasurable amount of energy in common. Please notice that you play “Sweatshops” at your own risk. If you choose to put the record on your player, at first Node will hit you with full force. Second, you want to crank your amp to the max – from then on there’s no way back. You’re in it for good – Node is highly addictive - and so what. They’re worth it……………… “Sweatshops” is recorded at Underground Studios in Sweden under the knowledgeable supervision of producer Palle Saether, who has also worked with bands like Necrodeath, Carnal Forge and Terror 2000. Therefore it should not come as a surprise, that the album came out as good as it did. From the first steps in the long process of production, it has been in the best of hands. And I have no second thoughts recommending this fine release – especially those who are into bands like Carcass, Death and At The Gates, will find Node worthy of their attention – beside the hordes into death in general. |
