Kept in Sin

Stop the press, there’s a new Anoxia release available. “Kept in Sin” is a six-tracker containing songs that are mainly equal in tempo and intensity. The first song on the album is called ”Posedious Dominion” and is more or less an intro to the second song on the album titled “”M/S Relationship”. The song has a lot of power and reminds me of old Metal Church material. Third track of the album “Horror Supply” is also a true rocker, but a little down tempo compared to the previous songs on the generally impressive album. Second last song “All and Everything” really shows what Anoxia is capable of in terms of vocal work. Last song “Last Situation” is an up-tempo composition that finalizes approx. 23 minutes of Danish heavy-metal extravaganza.

After Laura finished all the video editing we decided to put all the material on the disc as well on a so-called "enhanced CD", but how? Our rescuer was Lars "Chief" Willsen from Hackquaters.com . He sat programming day and night to get the pieces together and his work turned out fantastic!!! He is also responsible for some of our web details. He gathered all the films and wrapped them into a great multimedia solution! Simon Joergensen made the graphics and cover layout and it really fitted the project. The CD was named "KEPT IN SIN" because we wanted to relate to our past material but certainly also state that new blood and ideas was being brought to the band! This CD is the strongest and most representing mirror reflection of AnoxiA ever!!! Besides the 6 songs on the album, there’s also some very interesting video-footage showing the best of the band. One day in the summer of 2005 Anoxia summoned a bunch of their fans, friends and relatives, drove them by bus all the way to Copenhagen, where Anoxia was supposed to do a show with fellow metallers Third Eye.

”Biography around "KEPT IN SIN":
In the summertime of the year 2004 we got a new member of the band. Allan Nielsen joined us with his monster performance on the bass. We now had the strongest and full-number line-up that we needed. We wrote new material but also kept the pleasure and passion for the old songs. In wintertime we shared the first place with another band in town in the local part of Metal Grand Prix 2005. We competed with the songs M/S Relationship and Horror Supply. It was a success! In the spring of 2005 we wrote more material and decided to go into the studio in late summer. This time it was quite special. We got into contact with a very talented media girl and she followed us the whole summer making a documentary and live-videos. Her name is Laura Kiralfy and the world has definitely not seen the last of her! We used the great Muzirkus studio with Henrik Johannessen to get the raw music down on tape/disc, but according to many reviews on "Melanchollision(2003)" we wanted a different sound. We got into contact with Tommy Hansen and he accepted the honour to mix and master our CD in his Jailhouse Studio. Mads Poulsen was persuaded to play the old organ on the intro he he.”

The video shows Anoxia in their rehearsing room, doing the final preparations for the concert. A part of the preparation is to do a short version of the old Slayer hit “Black Magic”. But other than that, the video is mainly about sippin’ beer and having a great time. We follow Anoxia from the minute they get on the bus, during the drive to Copenhagen, as they unload their gear, while relaxing backstage until the concert same night. It all took place on July 9^th 2005, and what a fine day that was in every way possible. But that’s not all. There’s also a small but nice gallery with some recent band-pictures.
