Nil By Mouth - In The Mouth of Madness
|
A year ago Nil by Mouth, which belongs in Aarhus, released the ep In the Mouth of Madness. Produced by Tue Madsen of Antfarm it's the base of a successful album. Nil by Mouth has what it takes. They're not fooling around. The music is raw without a lot of technical gadgets, samples, dubs and whatelse other bands like to use. The sound is simple and straight forward which makes it very believable. Nil by Mouth is riding the new wave, in the heavier part of the world of rock, the wave where the best parts of the sound and gangsta rap is mixed together in a blend of raw riffs and vocalisations sounding like certain large animals during mating season which can make even the most hardened nitter to think that Nil by Mouth is a great band with a sound worth paying attention to. Style wise Nil by Mouth is somewhere between Korn and Slipknot which isn't the worst place to be. |

With this second album Nil by Mouth has managed to fuse two very different styles together. Music for those dressed in leather and denim and those wearing the cap backwards with a pair of exercise oriented pants a couple of sizes too big.Darn good rock, tons of rythmn mixed with a snarling here I am vocal, which sounds like it's rather straining on Mikael Rises vocal cords, but which also sounds good so please don't cut any corners. Actually, please don't change anything at all unless you want to go in a different direction. What you've got now makes it tingle so darn good or said differently, It's cooooooooooool as it is.
