NONE "Black Star" |
|
”Black Star” is the third full length album from None, who are very much into how to cut a great record. None is simply the best NU-metal band in Poland these days, and just recent they did a successful job supporting Soulfly – featuring ex-Sepultura front man Max Cavalera. None is a mix between such prominent bands as Korn and Biohazard – they truly rocks and listening to “Black Star” has been a great pleasure. I haven’t heard of None before, but it has been a very positive experience. None is a proof to the fact that also Poland know how to deliver progressive and somewhat brutal rock to the masses. When I first listened to the record the song “Black Star”, which is the first song on the record, made me realize that None is located in top third part of the scale of quality metal music of today. |
As said before the music is somewhat Korn and Biohazard like, but they have also added some more traditional elements of thrash metal, which makes the music of None very dynamic and interesting. After listening to “Black Star” several times over the last couple of days, my favourite is still the title number but it seems like the album has gained a little in quality – at least my impression of it has reached a higher level than after the first listening. When you get the chance to check out None please do so and look forward to an awesome and very rhythmic sound and a lot of positive experiences with this upcoming star on the polish rock’n’roll heaven. ”Black Star” was recorded in the Q studio under supervision of producer Tom Horn and the band itself. |
